Privacy Policy
Effective 25 September 2026
The short version. We don't collect, use, sell or share personal data. Your video, audio and scores stay on your phones. Anonymous usage counts, which you can turn off at any time, help us fix bugs and choose features.

None of it is linked to your identity, none of it is used for advertising or tracking, and none of it is sold or shared with anyone. The App Store's privacy label for the app says the same: "Data Not Linked to You".

What stays on your devices
- Recordings
- Video and audio are recorded to the phone that records them and stay there. They are transferred only to phones you have paired with a code, over a direct Bluetooth or peer-to-peer Wi-Fi link, and only while those phones are nearby. They never pass through a server of ours. We have no copy and no access.
- Scores and settings
- The score log, team names and colours, and every setting live on the phone that made them, and are shared only with paired phones during a game.
- Exports
- When you export, save to Photos or share a recording, the file goes where you send it and nowhere else.
- Diagnostic log
- The app keeps a short technical log of its own activity (timings, errors, connection events; never video, audio or scores) on the phone. It reaches us only if you choose to send it.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera and microphone, to record. Used only while the recording screen is open.
- Local Network and Bluetooth, so your phones can find and talk to each other directly.
- Notifications, to tell you that a recording stopped when you left the app.
- Photos, only when you choose to save an export there.
Each permission can be refused or withdrawn in iOS Settings; the app explains what stops working.
Anonymous usage statistics
To see what is used and what breaks, the app can send anonymous usage counts to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. The events are: app opened, role chosen, a recording started and how long it ran, how many replays a recording had, an export, an upload, a stream, a purchase, and whether a permission was granted or refused. Each event carries the app version, the iOS version and the device model. It never contains footage, scores, names, email addresses, precise location or any identifier that could be traced to you; the only device value is a one-way hash that cannot be reversed.
The first time the app starts it shows you this explanation and asks you to choose: share the counts, or not now. Nothing is sent until you choose, and nothing is sent if you choose not to. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy, and nothing else changes.
YouTube upload
Uploading to YouTube is optional. If you use it, you sign in to Google in a Google-controlled window; the app receives a token that lets it upload videos to your channel and read your channel list, and stores that token on your phone only. The video goes from your phone to YouTube under your account, subject to Google's privacy policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. You can revoke the app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The app's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple tells the app only whether a subscription is active.
Crash reports
If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple sends us anonymised crash reports through App Store Connect. We do not run a crash reporting service of our own.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no data from them. Nothing in the app asks for a name, an age or an account.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to give you, correct or delete: everything is on your phone, and deleting the app removes it. Residents of California and of the European Economic Area have rights under the CCPA and the GDPR; we sell no personal information and share none. If you believe we hold something about you, write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app shows the new version once before it applies, and the date at the top of this page moves.
